Hunts roots go back to the second world war when it was set up to assist the war effort in transporting live stock, it diversified after the war into household removals when the owner realized there was great demand. The business flourished over the next 40 years changing ownership and buying out its local competition carrying out mainly local and UK removals. It also joined the British association of Removers (BAR) that ‘opened doors’ in the International worldwide removals market. During the 80’s and 90’s Neil James the managing Director at the time made contacts with other removal companies at major destinations across the world and commenced offering worldwide International shipping. This service grew slowly but with the birth of the internet Neil realized this was the ‘key ‘and invested heavily on Hunts online presence. Neil retired in 2009 but Adam Oakley took up the mantle and our International traffic has increased unbelievably.
